“As I often express to my coach, 2025 will be my year. I am more motivated than ever to show the world what I can bring to the art of boxing. I am locked in and completely focused on boxing. My eyes are set on the goal of moving up the ranks, and, by God’s grace, I will show the world what I’m made of.”

She explained that her next step is simply to continue to build on what she has learned, not only in training but from her debut fight too.

“There is always something you can improve on and so many new skills I still need to learn. With the help of my coach and my team I plan to build on my strengths and improve on things I need to work on. I plan to soak in every ounce of boxing knowledge my coach gives me and perform even better in my next fight.”

Oozing with confidence, Promnick and her team have hit the ground running, planning on carrying on this momentum throughout the year. The preparations for the year started before they even hit 2025.

“After my last fight, my mindset has completely shifted for the better. My eyes are locked on my future in boxing, and they will not be swayed. There are definitely a few names out there that I have my eye on. I have hope that this year will bring as many fights as possible for me. I cannot wait to bring my fire to the ring.”

The young fighter has always believed that at any point in time she must be fight ready. She does not have an off-season, and she tries to constantly maintain her fitness.

“Listening to your body is essential to maintaining a connection between your body and your mind. A mind-body connection is essential when training at a high level. Your mind needs to be sharp, locked in, and focused, over and above any physical fitness.”

Promnick added that, in order to build herself up and climb the ranks as a new boxer, she will take any and every fight. “I will eventually work my way up to challenging the current South African title holder but for now I am focusing on building up my ring experience and proving myself against those in the ranks.”
