The young dancer made her presence felt on the stage, achieving remarkable results. She competed, and got first place, in Latin Velocity Trio (Adult Championship Open Trio), Savage Sync Hip Hop Duo (Adult Championship Duo) and Sassi-Faction Jazz Group (Adult Amateur Small Group). She also managed fourth and fifth place in Latin Legacy Solo (Adult Championship Open Solo) and Dangerous Hip Hop Solo (Adult Championship Hip Hop Solo).

Run by Robyn Coralle, the four-day competition gave Arnel an opportunity to express herself and also to learn. Arnel said she felt proud of herself when she walked of the stage. “I am proud of myself for going onto the stage and giving my all. I might be disappointed every now and then, but I never leave a competition feeling mad about what I achieved. I managed to make top six in both my solos in the adult section. I am a little disappointed in myself there, but I know, from here, it is onward and upward.”

Arnel explained that it was a little challenging, dancing in the adult section against people with more experience, but it was also a learning opportunity. “I just enjoyed being back on a stage, showing people why dancing is the language of the soul. I loved being able to be back on stage with my team, sharing our passion for the sport with the audience.”
