The Blue Army hosted SoE at the Randburg Sports Complex for an enjoyable day of football, complete with goals and enthusiastic fan support. The day began with the U14s and continued through to the 19s. One of the standout games was the U15 match, which resulted in five goals and a lot of drama.

In the first few minutes, the Randburg boys struggled to keep up with the game’s tempo. The host team’s defence was having a lot of problems as the visitors enjoyed possession. With his speed and skill on the right flank, Mxolisi Simelane of SoE proved a pain in the home team’s defence. A well-executed ball from the right found Alfred Guliwe, who finished it easily to give the visitors a well-earned lead (1–0).

SoE continued to move the ball around. The hosts, agitated, gave up their position readily. They struggled to create opportunities and to simply hold the ball. Guliwe, on the left side, received another cross inside the box and headed it in, doubling the visitor’s lead.

In the second half, the home team was desperate to tie the score after falling behind by two goals. They played more in the visitor’s half and pressed faster and higher. Thembani Furumela gave the Randburg team a chance to rally with a long-range goal that struck the back of the net (2–1).

Simelane increased SoE’s advantage to 3-1 when the home team, desperate to equalise, was caught on a swift counterattack. In pursuit of an objective, the Blue Army continued to try to toss balls. The visitors continued to play out from the back and rotate the ball. Towards the end of the game, Ovile Mrataza scored to make it 3–2 after taking advantage of a visitor’s error.

Randburg threw more balls and bodies in search of an equaliser, but were unsuccessful.
