Honeydew Community Policing Forum invites community to support toy run

With the festive season approaching, the Honeydew CPF is gearing up for its annual toy run, urging residents to contribute towards making children’s holidays brighter

The Honeydew Community Policing Forum (CPF) has announced that its much-loved annual toy run will take place at the end of November, and residents are encouraged to get involved to help make this year’s event another success.

The toy run is a community-driven initiative aimed at spreading joy to children during the festive season. Last year’s event brought smiles to many young faces, thanks to the incredible support of residents and local businesses. This year, organisers are hoping to make an even bigger impact.

“We’re inviting everyone to be part of the joy once again,” said Michael Steyn, the CPF’s public relations officer. “Every small act of kindness helps us bring happiness to children who might otherwise go without during the holidays.”

To support the cause, residents can either purchase a 1kg pack of Bakers Choice Assorted Biscuits or make a monetary donation, which will go directly towards buying more biscuits for the toy run.
Donations can be dropped off on Saturday, November 15, between 09:00 and 11:00, at any of the following collection points:

  • BP Palm Court on JG Strydom,
  • BP Radiokop on John Voster, or
  • BP Boskruin on President Fouche.

CPF patrollers will be present at all three stations to receive donations and thank contributors for their support.
