Crusaders take home 3 points in a narrow win over Evo

League chasers Crusader FC visited the stubborn Evo in a showdown that resulted in five goals at Diggers.

Under the cloudy afternoon sky at Diggers Sports Club, a gripping five-goal thriller unfolded, as Crusaders FC edged Evo in a match that had everything – drama, tension, and relentless determination.

The visitors, Crusaders, started brightly, drawing first blood with a beautifully struck free kick just outside the box. The ball curled perfectly beyond the keeper, setting the stage for a game to remember for both teams. Evo, however, responded almost immediately in stunning fashion. From the restart at the centre line, a quick, direct attack caught Crusaders off guard, and, within moments, the ball was in the back of the net. 1–1 in the blink of an eye.

However, Evo refused to fold. Just before the break, they struck again, narrowing the gap to 3–2 and bringing belief back among the home supporters.

The second half brought even more intensity. Both sides battled fiercely, but the flow of the game was repeatedly disrupted by controversial officiating decisions. A crucial penalty appeal for the Crusaders was waved off, leaving players and fans frustrated. Evo pushed hard for an equaliser, while Crusaders focused on protecting their slender lead.
