Linden netball players spend a morning with SA Netball captain
LINDEN – Hoërskool Linden’s netball girls spent a morning with the captain of the South Africa National Netball Team Bongiwe Msomi.
Hoërskool Linden’s A netball teams had the privilege of attending a netball clinic with the captain of the South Africa National Netball Team Bongiwe Msomi on 18 April.
School netball coordinator Magriet Nel said, “It was an absolute honour sharing the morning with Bongi. She has a passion for netball and an amazing heart for kids. It was great for our learners to learn valuable netball skills, and a fun morning was had by all.”
Msomi is the founder of the Bongi Msomi Netball Project. This is a non-profit company that focuses on raising the profile of netball through skills development, the transfer of knowledge and experiences gained, as well as the holistic development of the coach, player, child and athlete.

Nel said the school’s netball teams are going from strength to strength, with several players qualifying for the next round of district trials.
