Video interviews with celebrities gets local martial artist out of his comfort zone.
Fifth dan martial arts instructor turned stunt group owner and film producer Shane Comley-White has encouraged South Africans to support their local content producers.
This especially on YouTube where it is free to subscribe to.
“One thing that has become evident especially now here in South Africa and in these times we are living in, is that there are many talented content creators with amazing information and ideas out there,” said Comley-White, who has martial arts academies in Bordeaux, Northcliff and Victory Park.
Since lockdown, he has had interviews on his YouTube channel, Rocking @ the Movies, with Adrian Paul from Highlander, Simon Rhee and Eric Roberts from the Best of the Best, Hakeem Kae-Kazim from Hotel Rwanda, and Sean Cameron Michael from Black Sails, among others.
An interview with Belgian martial artist and movie superstar Jean-Claude Van Damme is lined up as well.
“[I] have been privileged to be able to interview some amazing actors and movie professionals that I have grown up with and also worked with in the past few months.”
Comley-White’s stunt team and production company are also behind the short film, The Suspended Man, which will have its premiere in Wynberg on August 27.
