North Riding boxer promises fireworks in Boxing 5’s Unrivalled event in fight against Ghanaian KO master

Two undefeated Knock Out artists will go head-to-head on a 10-bout fight card that promises fireworks.

Unbeaten lightweight prospect and IBF Continental Africa Lightweight Champion Kaine ‘K9’ Fourie is putting all the work into preparations for his 10-bout fight card against Ghanaian fighter Mohammed Wasiru.

The much-anticipated matchup on November 23 at The Box Camp in Booysens is the main event for Boxing 5’s Unrivalled event.

Fourie is well aware of the task as he goes up against the undefeated Wasiru who is a hard puncher with 12 knockouts in 13 fights.
“It’s going to be very interesting. It just makes me want to work even harder as this time around we’re not going to be playing in the ring; it’s going to be a dog war, and that’s what we are preparing for,” he said.

He added he felt confident going into this fight because he knew what was on the line.

“Preparations are going very well, we are training hard every day and doing the same stuff we did for every fight. All that is new is the opponent and we are training very hard for this mega fight.”

The young boxer knocked out reigning South African lightweight champion Khaya Busakwe in three rounds two years ago and is looking to add another knockout to his record.

“I know this fight won’t go 10 rounds because of the work I put in every day and make sure I am in top condition on fight night; we can expect fireworks. As prepared as I can be, the hard work and dedication will show itself, I am moving to 11-0 [fight record] and staying undefeated.”
A title is not on the line, but ego, reputation, and of course their unbeaten records are.
