Sharonlea Primary hosts Orange Farm Primary for exciting soccer and netball festival

Sharonlea Primary School was buzzing with excitement as learners showcased their soccer and netball talents against Orange Farm Primary for the enjoyment of parents and teachers.

The atmosphere at Sharonlea Primary School was filled with energy and excitement as learners, parents, and teachers gathered for a thrilling soccer and netball festival.


The event brought together young athletes from Sharonlea Primary and Orange Farm Primary School for a day of friendly competition, sportsmanship, and team spirit.

From the early hours of the morning, the football field and netball courts were busy with activity. Learners eagerly took to the field and courts, displaying their talents and determination in front of proud parents, teachers, and supporters. Both schools displayed excellent teamwork and skill, making every match exciting to watch.

The football matches were packed with action as players displayed impressive ball control, passing, and scoring abilities. On the netball courts, learners showed great agility, accuracy, and teamwork, earning cheers from the crowd.


The festival provided a wonderful opportunity for learners to test their abilities against strong opposition, while building friendships with their peers from Vaal.

Philip Mlambo, sports co-ordinator at Sharonlea, explained that the day was a huge success. “Everything went well. Thank you to everyone who came and showed support. We do this event especially for parents to come and see the kids play and meet the coaches who work with them every day.”

He added that the event is also important for learners to showcase their talents in front of their teachers, peers, and parents.

One of the highlights of the day was the entertaining matches between parents and teachers in both football and netball. The matches strengthened the bond between the school and its families and added fun to the festival.
