Rand Park High crowned Inter-High Athletics champions
Rand Park High School has been crowned the 2026 Inter-High Athletics champions after a thrilling meeting at Ruimsig Stadium.
Rand Park High School was crowned the Inter-High Athletics A-league champions after an exciting meeting at Ruimsig Stadium on Monday.
Six schools took part in the competition, with Rand Park High going up against Bryanston High School, Roosevelt High School, Krugersdorp High School, Edenvale High School and Queens High School. The meeting delivered a full day of spirited athletics, with learners from each school competing across a range of track events.

Rand Park put in a particularly strong showing, excelling in the sprints and relays to rack up valuable points towards the overall standings.
The school’s relay teams were among the standout performers of the day. Their speed, teamwork and determination played a major role in securing Rand Park’s overall victory.

Adding to the celebrations, Rand Park High was also awarded the Spirit Trophy, which recognises the enthusiastic support shown by learners throughout the meeting.
Winning both the Inter-High title and the Spirit Trophy made it a memorable day for the school, and a fitting reward for the hard work put in by athletes and coaches alike. The principal, Alan Wilke, congratulated all six participating schools on a competitive meeting and praised his athletes for their dedication and strong performances.

“We are exceptionally proud of our athletes. Winning the Inter-High title is a wonderful achievement and reflects both the determination of our athletes on the track and the dedication and support provided by our coaching staff,” he said.
