Mayor’s Rapid Response Team steps up infrastructure maintenance
Repairs to wastewater infrastructure and road maintenance formed part of the Rapid Response Team’s latest work across Randfontein.
The Rapid Response Team (RRT) continued its service delivery operations across Randfontein last week, focusing on wastewater infrastructure repairs and road maintenance.
Initiated by Executive Mayor William Matsheke earlier this year, the RRT forms part of an intensified service delivery drive in the area.

On August 12, the team attended to gutter and wastewater infrastructure repairs in Westergloor, including areas along Main Street, Piet Uys Street and Maritz Street.

The following day, the RRT carried out road patching and general maintenance at several locations, including Meyer Katz Avenue, 51st Street and Granite Street.

The work is aimed at improving road conditions, addressing infrastructure challenges and promoting safer travel for motorists and residents.
The continued deployment of the RRT forms part of ongoing efforts to respond to infrastructure-related issues across Randfontein and ensure that identified problems are attended to.
