Biker dies in a massive head on collision

There was nothing that could be done for him.

A man has died in a massive head on collision involving a motorbike and a Ford Bantam bakkie on the corner of Tom Muller Street and the R28 near Randfontein on 23 July.

Accordig to ER24 spokesperson Vannesa Jackson, it is unclear as to what caused the accident but says that the driver of the bike sustained fatal injuries.

“Paramedics were called out to the scene and upon arrival, they found the driver of the bike to have sustained multiple and extensive injuries.

“He was in a critical condition and unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for him.

“He was immediately declared dead on the scene,” says Jackson.

She adds that the driver of the bakkie was fortunately not injured in the accident.

Local authorities are currently investigating the the cause of the accident.
