The West Rand flying squad closed in on a group of women sitting in a suspicious car next to the Fit Stop gym on Kenneth Road on 7 August.
This follows a tip-off by people from local busineses stating that the women had been parking outside the Fit Stop gymn for some time in a suspicious grey Ford Fiesta.
According to an officer at the scene who does not wish to be named, they immediately acted on the tip-off and went to the scene to investigate.
“We received a tip-off and decided to search the women,” says the officer
“Unfortunately I cannot reveal whether or not we found anything on them.
“What I can say however is that the car is from the Vaal and that is all I am prepared to say,” says the officer. .
Upon the Herald’s arrival at the scene, the officers seemed ill at ease with the presence of journalists and decided to conclude their search at the Randfontein police station.
