Relay for life a success
Next year's Relay for life will definitely be bigger and better
More than 50 teams joined the first annual Relay for Life event hosted at the Greenhills Stadium on 6 September.
This was to celebrate cancer survivors throughout Randfontein and other parts within the West Rand.
According to Relay for Life chairman Peter Dick, the turnout was amazing as residents flocked to the event.
“Over 50 teams participated in the event and joined us in our efforts to raise awareness about cancer.
“Even cancer survivors were there and served as inspiration to the community at large,”
“We had a platform to inform people about how serious cancer is but most importantly, on how people can actually beat it,” says Dick.
