EFF takes Bekkersdal by storm

The EFF are adamant that they will be the ruling party after the upcoming National Elections.

“When people decide not to vote during the National Elections scheduled to take place on 7 May, they will be voting for the ANC indirectly.”

This is according to Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Gauteng Premier candidate advocate Dali Mpofu during his address at the party’s manifesto launch in Bekkersdal on 29 March near the Bekkersdal taxi rank.

Scores of people came out to support the EFF, who seem set on making themselves count in Bekkersdal during the upcoming National Elections.

According to Mpofu, South Africans are yearning for radical change in the political front and the EFF will provide just that.

“We really need to address the challenges of our people and know what their struggles are.

“Our people are living in shacks and walking on sewage that floods the streets 20 years into democracy and that cannot be tolerated.

“We are still facing racial challenges where we see white people living in fancy surburbs while the blacks are subjected to living in filthy places and that is where EFF comes in.

“We want to strive for equality among all racial groups and restore black people’s pride and dignity through empowerment.

“The difference between us and the ANC then becomes the fact that we want to address those who don’t know what to eat before they go to bed and not those who are already privileged in politics or through other means,” says Mpofu.

He adds that the EFF is adamant that their support from residents of Bekkersdal and other parts of the country will see them win the upcoming elections.

“We come to you unarmed because we are not afraid of you because we do not eat your money and we never will.

“What we want is economic freedom for our people where we can restore their dignity through the appropriation of land.

“People must know that if the government does not build the houses for them, then they must be given the land to do it for themselves,” says Mpofu who ads that if they are voted in power, they will ensure that quality healthcare is a prioritized in government and that the mining and coal industry in South Africa is nationalized amongst other things.
