Successful sound show

Sound enthusiasts storm to the Greenhills Stadium to take part in the Drag Racing Association Sound Show, hosted by Demon Racing.

Randfontein-based Demon Racing in association with the DBDRA team hostsed its first SPL and Bass Boxing competition of the new season at the Greenhills Stadium.

The show kicked off with a bang at 10am and the official prizegiving took place shortly after the competition.

This was an exciting format where competitors qualified in their respective classes and the top eight played against each other in the eliminations decibel racing style. This competition had a host of new classes benefiting everyone from the man on the street with his everyday system to the seasoned veteran competitor, so it did not matter whether you had a small 1000RMS amplifier or a 30000RMS beast. All were welcome to participate.

Aside from the SPL and Bass Boxing, competitiors also could take part in the show and shine competition with some usual classes and special awards such as the most slammed ride to best graphics.

Neeresh Harrishand from Speed & Sound was also present on the day and will feature the event in the magazine.

This show was special in the sense that it was a tribute to Mr DBDRA, Deon Kömmer who tragically passed away last year.

He always made time to help and advise competitors and really loved the industry.

His son Jay-Dylan Kömmer are now following in his dad’s footsteps and vowed not to miss these shows.
