Man killed in Worker’s Day smash

The man collided with a concrete barrier and a pillar

A man has died a terrible death after he flung out of his vehicle in a horrific accident on the R41 on 1 May.

According to information received, the man’s car is believed to have collided with a concrete barrier and a pillar, causing it to roll multiple times, subsequently ejecting him from the vehicle.

According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, when paramedics arrived at the scene, they found the man’s badly damaged car on the side of the road.

“Our paramedics arrived at the scene and found no sign of any occupants of the car nearby.

“After a short while of searching they discovered the man some metres away from the vehicle,” says Meiring.

The man had unfortunately already succumbed to his extensive injuries.
