Driver crashes into fuel tanker

Before the festivities could start on Sunday – day five of the Randfontein Show – a collision happened on the R28 just after West Village.

According to Denver Ramnarian, founder and executive manager of QRS emergency services “A truck stopped in the turning lane into the Sasol garage on the R28 and a woman was driving in the lane next to the truck.

“Another car attempted to turn into her lane but did not see her car. Subsequently, she swerved away from the car and crashed into the truck. The truck was a fuel tanker and she was lucky that she only hit the tyre of the truck.”

No one is said to be injured.

In addition to this, traffic was diverted through the garage.
