Voices, vision and unity: Women gather to drive change

From economic opportunities to social justice, women tackled the challenges affecting their communities and explored ways to make a difference.


Women from across the Randfontein community gathered on Wednesday, September 30 for a Women’s Sector Dialogue aimed at creating a platform for discussion, empowerment and collective action.

The event was held at the IEC RandWest Hall under the theme ‘Advancing Women’s Rights, Economic Empowerment and Social Justice’.

The gathering brought together community members to address key issues, highlight the importance of advancing women’s rights, create economic opportunities and promote social justice.

Attendees shared experiences, discussed challenges and explored ways to support one another while contributing to positive change in their local areas.

Organiser Palesa Mboweni described the event as a great success, saying the turnout demonstrated a strong commitment to empowerment and advancement.
