The Randfontein police are investigating a case of concealment of birth after a baby was found at a dumping site.
According to Captain Appel Ernst, spokesperson for the Randfontein Police, “Officers were called out to a dumping site on Sunday 1 March at approximately 9.45am where a baby was dumped.
“A worker at the Randfontein dumping site made the tragic and gruesome discovery after which he called the police.
“Upon arrival, they found a black plastic disposal bag that contained a human foetus. The foetus was taken to the government mortuary for the necessary forensic investigation. It is unclear where the bag originated from.”
