Man shot dead in alleged house robbery

A sad Easter Sunday for a Culemborg Park family.

A man was shot to death and another stabbed in an alleged house robbery in Culemborg Park during the early hours of Easter Sunday.

According to Arrie Pieterse, Armed Response Manager from Mapogo who was on scene “One man was shot dead and his brother-in-law stabbed in his arm. The suspects allegedly gained access through the kitchen.”

“A suspect grabbed one of the men and held a firearm against his head. The man’s wife then walked in and immediately backed up when the brother-in-law came in and also backed up to take cover when he was shot in the back,” Pieterse explained what the surviving victims told him.

Police were approached for comment but have not confirmed the incident as yet.
