Three injured in truck collision

'One of the patients had been on the back of the bakkie and had been ejected when the vehicle rolled multiple times.'

Three men were injured following a collision between two trucks and a bakkie on the N12 outside of Fochville on Wednesday morning.

“When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found the two trucks parked on the side of the road, while the bakkie lay off into the veld,” ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said.

On assessment, paramedics found that three men had sustained minor to moderate injuries in the collision. One of the patients had been on the back of the bakkie and had been ejected when the vehicle rolled multiple times.

“Paramedics treated and immobilised the patients before they were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.”

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
