EPR Security has dealt with a series of crimes over the past weekend. The security company reported 20 incidents of crime in Randfontein between Friday, 7 October and Sunday, 9 October. In Westonaria, seven incidents were reported in the same time period.
Incidents of theft in Randfontein were higher than other crimes and in Westonaria, break-ins were trending.
Randfontein:

• Break-in – 1st Street, Central Business District at 9.01pm
• Disturbance – Willem Road, Greenhills at 10.53pm
• Incident at medical practice – Kenneth Road, Greenhills at 10.53pm
•Theft – Geldenhuys Street, Greenhills at 5.05pm
• Assault – Hospital Street, Robin Park at 3.45pm
• Theft – Brandvlei Agricultural Holdings (AH) at 4.44pm
• Theft – Fir Road, Greenhills at 10.21am
• Discharging of weapon – Oranjerivier Street, Toekomsrus at 5.45am (One suspect arrested)
• Break-in – Steyr Street, Aureus at 1.49am
• Damage to property – Tier Street, Greenhills at 11.55am
• Tresspassing – Fiat Street, Aureus at 8.49pm
• Theft – Fiat Street, Aureus at 6.11am
• Theft – Loumarina AH at 7.35am
• Attempted theft – Ponie Street, Greenhills at 3.01am
• Theft – Piet Uys Street, Westergloor at 3.07am (One suspect arrested)
• Trespassing – Fiat Street, Aureus at 7.03pm
• Theft – Freda Avenue, Homelake at 8pm (One suspect arrested)
• Break-in – Fir Road, Greenhills at 4.41pm
• Theft – Beatrice Avenue, Homelake at 2.16am

• Assault – Normand Street at 9.52am
