EPR has released crime statistics for Randfontein and Westonaria relating to incidents on 10, 11 and 12 October. Although the number of incidents is down, the same crimes, including theft and housebreaking, are still a problem.
During the three days in question, Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) experienced five incidents of theft and two housebreakings. In addition, there was one report of attempted theft and one of attempted house robbery.

Randfontein:
• Intimidation – Station Street, Central Business District (CBD)
• Theft – Meyer Katz Avenue, Westergloor
• Attempted theft – Pelzvale Agricultural Holdings (AH)
• Theft – Steyer Street, Aureus
Westonaria:
• Robbery – Ahanang Street, Simunye

• Possession of stolen goods – Meyer Katz Street, Westergloor (one suspect arrested)
