Police launch manhunt for rapist and kidnapper

Police are calling on the community to assist them in tracing a rape and kidnapping suspect.

The Randfontein Police have launched a manhunt for a man suspected of kidnapping and rape.

According to Captain Appel Ernst, the Randfontein Police spokesperson, the victim assisted the police with compiling an identikit of the suspect.

Suspect description:
• Complexion: Reddish
• Age: Approximately 30 to 35
• Build: Slender
• Height: Approximately 1,68 metres tall
• Eye colour: Brown
• Hair colour and style: Short reddish wavy hair
• Clothes last seen in: T-shirt, shorts and black boots
• Vehicle last seen in: Bakkie

The investigating officer, Sergeant Thobeka Nkosi from the West Rand Family Violence, Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Unit is urgently calling on the community to assist in the identification and tracing of the suspect.

Sergeant Nkosi can be contacted on 011 951 1111. Alternatively, information can be communicated anonymously to 08600 10111 or via SMS to Crime Line on 32211.
