Randfontein Christian Academy (RCA) decided to go blue instead of red and white when it celebrated friendship on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday, 14 February.
Clarisse Venter, RCA spokesperson said, “Learners had two weeks to write letters of friendship to one another. They were then placed in a box to be handed out.”

The day was started with a message about friendship by Pastor Justin Dreyer, who emphasised just how important it is for youngsters to choose the right friends in life.
All letters were then handed out to the the various grades and learners. Some of them even had a chocolate attached.

Clarisse added, “Blue symbolises trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith and truth.”
