A woman was raped and then robbed while waiting for a taxi in Westonaria late last week.
Warrant Officer Raymond Sebonyane, spokesperson for the Westonaria Police said they are looking for three suspects who allegedly raped and robbed a 27-year-old woman in an open veld near South African Brewery in Westonaria on Friday, 24 August.
Sebonyane said the victim was travelling from Randfontein after work and while she was waiting for a taxi, she was pounced by an unknown man who threatened her with a knife and forced her to an open veld.

Shortly afterwards, the suspect was joined by two of his accomplices, who raped and robbed the victim of her belongings, including a cellphone and tablet.
“No arrests were made. The police are appealing to the community at large to come forward with any information that can assist in the investigation,” Sebonyane said.
