#ThrowbackThursday – 5 September 1986
The Herald goes back, way back, to 5 September 1986 for this week’s #ThrowbackThursday.
It’s Throwback Thursday, so the Herald went back in time to the very first edition of the paper, in September 1986, when Randfonteiners were clearly pushing the boundaries of the town.
In that edition, the Herald reported on the planning of the massive Randfontein Show of the following year.
In the same edition, we also published a feature about the 100th anniversary of feminine underwear like brassieres made of lace, which could have been seen as a controversial topic at the time.
