Two trucks collide: One person critical
Man critically injured in a collision between two trucks on a small road alongside the R501 in Carletonville yesterday.
A 30-year-old man was critically injured in a rear-end collision yesterday.
Russel Meiring, the ER24 spokesperson, said that two trucks were involved in the collision on a small road alongside the R501 in Carletonville.
“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 1:55pm to find another medical service already assessing the patient. On further assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition,” he said.

The man was treated for his injuries and was then airlifted by the ER24 Oneplan Helicopter to a private hospital in Johannesburg for urgent treatment.
“It is understood that the man had been working on the back of the one truck when it was rear-ended by another,” he added.
Meiring said that local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
