Deceased’s next of kin asked to come foreward

Bekkersdal Police search for deceased's next of kin. The man's body was found on 30 March 2018.

Bekkersdal Police are still searching for the next of kin of a man whose body was found in his shack in the Holomisa informal settlement on 30 March.

Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, the Bekkersdal Police spokesperson said on the day the body was discovered, police were called to the scene where they found that the deceased had been declared dead by the paramedics.

She said an inquest was opened and an investigation is being conducted.

“The body was taken to the Carletonville Government Mortuary and has not been identified yet. We are appealing to anyone who might have knowledge about the deceased to contact the Bekkersdal Police on 011 755 0000,” Lefakane said.
