It was an exciting morning when the Grade 1s of Randfontein Primary School (REM) started their first day of ‘big school’ on Wednesday, 15 January.

With every hair in place, shoes polished and lunch packed, all the Grade 1 learners were ready to start the next chapter in their lives. All of them were smiling from ear to ear while doing their first activity in big school – making things with clay.

They were all very eager to sit next to the friends they had just made.
