Double murder probed after bodies were found at cemetery

Community members noticed with horror the bodies of two men at the entrance of Zenzele cemetery.

The Randfontein Police are investigating a double murder after the bodies of two men with gunshot wounds were found at the Zenzele cemetery entrance on Wednesday, 12 August.

Sergeant Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson said police were contacted by community members shortly before 7am yesterday (12 August) and informed about the bodies.

The identities of the men are unknown at this stage.

Police found a white BMW X5 a few metres from the bodies. One of the men had a bullet wound at the back of his head, and the other one had a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

“Paramedics were contacted and both men were declared dead on the scene. The motive for these killings is unknown at this stage.”

Police urge the community to come forward with any information that could assist them in finding those responsible for these senseless killings.
