Five crime incidents in one week: Do not let your guard down, warns Mapogo

Operations Manager at Mapogo is warning customers and the broader public not to let their guard down and to remain vigilant.

Mapogo A Mathamaga Security in Randfontein released its latest crime report for the West Rand for the period from Thursday, 10 September to Wednesday, 16 September.

Herman Coetzee, Operations Manager at Mapogo said even though crime trends and reported criminal activity seem to be on the decrease, he warned customers and the broader public not to let their guard down and to remain vigilant.

Coetzee stated that Mapogo’s crime analysis indicated that the customers they are serving reported five incidents during the past seven days.

Three housebreakings were reported in the areas of Randfontein, Krugersdorp and Westonaria respectively. Other incidents included one of gate-motor theft in Randfontein, and one of shoplifting in Krugersdorp,” said Coetzee.
