The bodies of a man and a woman were found at the Bekkersdal cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, 20 October.
According to Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, spokesperson for the Bekkersdal Police, the two were aged between 28 and 34.
She also said police suspected that they were murdered between Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October.
“At this stage the motive for the murders is unknown, but investigations are under way,” Lefakane said.
Lefakane urged the public to come forward with any information pertaining to the case that may be vital to arresting those responsible for the murders.
