Crash leaves one dead, seven injured

A man was killed and seven others injured in a two-vehicle collision on Deelkraal Drive in Carletonville on Sunday afternoon, 15 November.

According to Ineke van Huyssteen, ER24 spokesperson, when ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 4.30pm, they found another medical service as well as multiple patients. Upon further assessment, a man was found to have sustained fatal injuries and he was declared dead by paramedics.

She added that ER24, GPG, as well as another medical service at the scene treated the patients before transporting them to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to the paramedics, but police were on the scene for further investigations.
