Motorfietsryers, publiek vat hande vir kinders in nood

Die Run is gehou om geld vir skoolpakkette vir die kinders vir 2021 in te samel.

Talle motorfietsryers het op Saterdag, 21 November by Laerskool Randfontein bymekaargekom vir die heel eerste Potlood Run.

Volgens Bianca Wentzel, een van die organiseerders van die Potlood Run, is dit ‘n fondsinsamelingsprojek vir die minderbevoorregte kinders in die gemeenskap.

“Die Run is gehou om geld vir skoolpakkette vir die kinders vir 2021 in te samel,” het sy vertel.

Nog ‘n doel was om die gemeenskap bewus te maak van hoe Covid-19 almal finansieel geraak het asook hoe swaar hul medemens gekry het. Kinders het natuurlik ook daaronder gely.

Bianca het vertel dat daar vir seker in die toekoms weer ‘n Potlood Run sal wees want om die kinders se glimlagte te sien maak dit alles die moeite werd.

“Ons wil ook graag vir almal baie dankie sê vir hul ondersteuning en bydrae: Laerskool Randfontein, Scream, Naughty By Nature, Tudor Rebels, Boulevard, RV Car wash and Vallet Centre, Oribi Pub, Heleen Olivier, Samantha Hitge, Pentel, Eugene en Christene Theron, die biking-gemeenskap asook die publiek.”
