Five injured in two-vehicle crash

At least five people were injured in an early morning crash in Carletonville.

Five people were injured, one of them critically, when two vehicles collided at the intersection of P111 and Dolomite Drive in Carletonville early Friday morning, 27 November.

According to Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, when paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 7am, they found the two vehicles on the side of the road.

“The Provincial Fire Services had already extricated an entrapped patient from one light motor vehicle. One person was in a critical condition while four others had sustained moderate injuries.

“The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” Meiring said.
