Covid-19: Total number of cases in Rand West City at 5 532
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 9 January is 19 751, with 482 deaths and 17 047 recoveries.

As at 9 January, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 5 532, according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 4 645 people have recovered so far.
Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 10 491 and 3 722 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 9 085 and 3 311 recoveries respectively.
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 9 January is 19 751, with 482 deaths and 17 047 recoveries.
In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 17 077 and 14 476 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 328 925 with 276 998 recoveries and 6 142 deaths.
