‘Thank you for caring’ – video comp brings relief for FORA

FORA video competition comes to a close – R7 300 in cash and R35 500 worth of prizes raised.

A total of R7 300 in cash and R35 500 in prizes were raised during the Friends Of Rescued Animals (FORA) video competition held last year.

Aimeé Roode, a local animal lover, held the competition in an effort to rescue 500 animals who were in FORA’s care. She thanked the community for taking part in the competition.

“Thank you to our sponsors and everyone who entered the competition, and to all who donated to help us raise money for FORA,” Aimeé added.

Aimeé said FORA got a few of the prizes, worth R2 250, to auction off.

The winners of the competition are as follows: 
• 1st prize: Claire Prahm, owner of Molly
• 2nd prize: Vania Giovanni, owner of Camo
• 3rd prize: Tasneem Bhamjee, owner of Thor

• Cutest pet: Samia Moosa, owner of Dolly
• Funniest video: Michael Kruger, owner of Zorro
• Best bond: Kaylee Roode, owner of Overtone
• Most well-trained: Cornelius Roode, owner of Soldier
• Most improved rescued pet: Vania Giovanni, owner of Camo

“Also a big thanks to our amazing judges namely Linda Scrace; Aurora Thompson; Kayleigh Vida; and Candis and Devon van Gylswyk.
