Covid-19: Cases in Rand West City now at 6 318
The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 22 160 with 566 deaths and 20 043 recoveries.

According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 6 318. A total of 5 668 people have recovered so far.
Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 11 604 and 4 231 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 10 597 and 3 774 recoveries respectively.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 19 124 and 17 607 recoveries.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 378 656 with 342 700 recoveries and 7 597 deaths.
