Rand West City reports 179 Covid-19 related deaths

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 22 318 with 599 deaths and 20 664 recoveries.

According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 6 361. A total of 5 884 people have recovered so far. There has been 179 Covid-19 related deaths.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 11 680 and 4 720 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 10 890 and 3 884 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 22 318 with 599 deaths and 20 664 recoveries.

 

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 19 200 and 18 141 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 381 574 with 354 539 recoveries and 7 675 deaths.
