Covid-19: Recoveries in Rand West City now at 6 119

According to the latest report issued by the Gauteng Provincial Government, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 6 480. A total of 6 119 people have recovered so far. There has been 192 Covid-19 related deaths.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 11 786 and 4 378 cases respectively. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 11 218 and 4 122 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 22 651 with 643 deaths and 21 461 recoveries.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 19 509 and 18 853recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 389 230 with 371 208 recoveries and 8 249deaths.
