Caxton Joburg West calls for applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of journalist.

Requirements:

• A degree or diploma in journalism will be to your advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans
• Must be an all-rounder able to cover all types of news including hard news and investigative stories
• Experience in a similar environment preferable
• Computer literacy
• Candidate must live in Roodepoort or be willing to relocate to Roodepoort
• Must be willing to work weekends and overtime
• A solid understanding of deadlines and an ability to work well under pressure are essential
• A valid driver’s licence and own roadworthy vehicle compulsory
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team
