Two killed when vehicle rolls

Two dead, one injured in a single-vehicle rollover on the R501 in Carletonville last Sunday.

Two men sustained fatal injuries while another man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle rollover on the R501 in Carletonville over the weekend.

Ineke van Huyssteen, ER24 spokesperson said ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 1am on Sunday, 14 March.

We found the driver of the vehicle entrapped and showing no signs of life. Two men were found lying a few metres from the vehicle. Unfortunately, one of them had also sustained fatal injuries. The other man was found to have sustained moderate injuries.

“Paramedics treated him at the scene before transporting him to hospital for further medical care. The two fatally injured patients were declared dead at the scene by paramedics.”

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not known, but local authorities were in attendance.
