‘Massive increase in violent crime in and around Randfontein’ – Mapogo

An armed robbery in Elandsvlei, a housebreaking and theft in West Porges, and an assault in Ten Acres – Mapogo's latest crime report.

Mapogo A Mathamaga Security in Randfontein released its latest crime report for the period from Thursday, 11 March to Sunday, 14 March.

According to Herman Coetzee, Operations Manager at Mapogo, only three serious incidents were recorded for their client base during this period – an armed robbery in Elandsvlei, a housebreaking and theft in West Porges, and an assault in Ten Acres.

Coetzee said Mapogo’s initiative of deploying resources according to crime trends is paying dividends.

While we are noticing a massive increase in violent crime in and around Randfontein, our clients can sleep peacefully as a result of the additional resources we have made available,” said Coetzee.
