The proud Siphokazi who said receiving this honour has always been her childhood dream, thanked all her sponsors, her family, friends and the community at large for their unwavering support.

“This is the moment I’ve been waiting for. Not only am I proud to be given this honour but am I extremely proud to have represented Randfontein on such a big stage,” Siphokazi said.

Throughout her journey as a finalist she worked hard to empower girls and show them that nothing is impossible.

“It only takes one to believe in yourself. As I embark on this beautiful adventure I want to be remembered as a teen who believes in and stands for what is right and in so doing, hopefully prove to other youngsters that hard work pays off.

“From now on, I’m going to focus on doing some charity work and programmes that will be empowering our community. Never give up; use failure as an excuse to do better,” Siphokazi encouraged.
