According to EPR general manager, Johan Krogh at least 14 incidents occurred at businesses, followed by 13 at residences.

Theft was on top of the list, with eight incidents being reported.

Theft occurred at a business on Forbes Street in Westonaria; a business on Greenhills Circle in Greenhills; a business on Homestead Avenue in Greenhills; a residence on Susana Street in Greenhills; a residence on Constantia Street in Culemborg Park; a residence on Wolmarans Street in Westergloor; a residence on Fedler Street in Oasis; and a business on Malan Street in Westonaria.

Damage to property and intimidation were next on the list, with six and three incidents respectively.

We have not noted a decline in incidents in this area compared to previous weeks. Although we have noticed a decrease in break-ins in the area, theft and damage to property still remain dominant. We expect to see a decrease in incidents due to the extended curfew that has been implemented for the next two weeks.”
