A man was found shot and killed in a white Opel Astra on Kabelo Street in Mohlakeng at around 07:30 on Monday September 20.

Randfontein Police station commander Brigadier Mashole Jacob Manamela said the body, with several gunshot wounds, was found in the boot of the abandoned vehicle.

The police received a complaint from radio control to attend to an abandoned vehicle. They found blood trickling out of the car onto the tarmac,” Brigadier Manamela said.

They subsequently found the body and immediately opened a murder case.

“We appeal to the community to assist the police with information that could lead to the arrest of those responsible,” Brigadier Manamela added.
