Man shot and killed, his vehicle taken

Police said the locals reported the incident after hearing a gunshot.

A 33-year-old man was shot and killed, and his white Audi A4 stolen by two armed thugs on Ramokgopa Street in Mohlakeng over the weekend.

Randfontein Police spokesperson Sergeant Carmen Hendricks said the incident took place at about 21:30 on Saturday October 2.

The police received a complaint of a shooting that occurred in Ramokgopa Street and rushed to the scene where they were informed that the wounded victim had been taken to the Mohlakeng Clinic. The attackers had driven away in the victim’s car with registration CL 87 JV GP. Unfortunately, when the police arrived at the clinic, they were told that the victim had died.”

Police are investigating a case of hijacking and murder.
