Man dies in hospital after being found in street: Next of kin wanted

Police request anyone who reported a family member missing or has any information that could assist them in finding the deceased man's family to come forward.

Randfontein Police are seeking the community’s assistance in either identifying or tracing the next of kin of a man who died in hospital a day after being found in a street in Randpoort late last year.

According to Sergeant Carmen Hendricks, spokesperson of the Randfontein Police the community contacted an ambulance after they found a man lying on the road in Du Toit Street, Randpoort on Thursday, November 18, 2021.

“It looked like he was assaulted and dumped in the street. He was taken to the hospital and passed on the following day, Friday, November 19, 2021. The unknown man has no identification marks and looks like he can be in his late 40s.

The investigating officer did her investigation and nothing came of it. No family came forward to report him missing so this was the last resort.”

Anyone who reported a family member missing or has any information that could assist the police in finding the deceased man’s family is requested to come forward.
